Your new role
We are looking for an Optical Design Engineer, who wants to join a brand new Indus (Digital Transformation and Industrialization) team, focused on the development of ADAS sensors and autonomous driving system. By joining out client side you open yourself up for a possibility to see the whole development process in one place from an idea (customer requirement) to a product (e.g. automated parking ECU).

Create Mechanical 3D models with solid and surface model and 2D Drawings using the appropriate CAD tools
Prepare detailed trip and test reports as required
Assist with Feasibility Studies and support RFQ activities as required
Carry out component, product, application and vehicle level benchmarking activities and report findings to appropriate project teams
Work on customer demonstration & test vehicles to ensure they are equipped to the latest level of hardware and that they are calibrated and tuned for optimum
Collisions analysis according to specifications
Tolerance definition and analysis according manufacturing process
Perform FMEAs, participation on DFMEA meetings
Perform calculations and simulations of optics using dedicated software
Prepare and perform optical experiments for products development
Define design conditions for products regarding requirements for optics

What you'll need to succeed
Technical or natural sciences university degree
Technical, logical and analytical thinking, high degree of creativity
High motivation and work ethic with an emphasis on practical, hands-on work
Catia 3D solid and surface modelling experience
Catia 2D detailing according to manufacturing process required
MPLM experience (Matrix One)
Optical design knowledge
Good command of English
