We are looking for a candidate for the position of System Engineer for our client Hella Autotechnik Nova. Hella is a family-owned company concentrating on the development and production of components for the automotive industry and the spare parts trade. Specifically focusing on headlamps for BMW. It is not only a manufacturing plant, but also an independent R&D center. Apart from that, Hella develops street lighting, industrial lighting and products for special types of vehicles in the Special Applications segment.

Your new role

In your new role you will be responsible for clarifying and defining system requirements demanded on the system by the customers and coordinating cross-function requirements. You will be creating a system engineering planning and guiding the project team as well as communicating with the customers. You will also be defining and planning configuration management in the project for the overall product in terms of construction, hardware and software or of a system and its components. Mainly you will be responsible for the light electronics in the headlamp. You will be based in our newly expanded R&D center in Mohelnice or in our R&D laboratory in Ostrava, Czech Republic.

What you'll need to succeed

We are looking for a candidate with:

- University degree in the technical field (Mechatronics, Engineering, Design, etc.)
- 3 years of experience in electronics or automotive field
- Advanced knowledge of English
- Great interest in the field of electronics
- Experience in hardware, PCB layout and electronics development
- Automotive SPICE is an advantage
- Communication skills, quality management and project management
- Knowledge of Eagle, Altium, Cadence Allegro, CAN communication (Canoe and EdiaBAS-BMW) will be beneficial
